ddj Crawler 3.0

ddj Crawler 3.0 provides a powerful tool for all users. This hard working program can quickly build you a new music library. It will locate your specified music or video files and add them to an existing or new library database. Operating much like a like a web crawler it methodically crawls through your computer locating the specified files types you selected. If an already existing file is encountered it is simply skipped. If, on the other hand, a new file is encountered it will be appended to your music library along with any ID tag information it was able to detect.
Usage

First Time Usage:
1. Select the drive, directory(s) and file types to load.
2. Edit to your preferences and press 'Append' to add your your music and video.
3. Copy your updated master to your ddj application directory (typically C:Program FilesDedicatedDJddjdj.mdb).
Updating your existing database:
1. Backup your application database master (typically C:Program FilesDedicatedDJddjdj.mdb)
2. Copy your database master to the Crawlers working directory (typically C:Program FilesDedicatedDJddj_Crawler)
2. Select the drive or directory(s) to scan and the file types to load
3. Edit to your preferences and press 'Append' to add your your music and video.
3. Copy your updated master back to your ddj application directory.
Notes
1. A new or cleared database will report 5 sample records. That is normal and those references can be safely removed.
2. A music search can be quickly started by typing the directory to into the 'Music Search' (gray line) area and Dbl_clicking.
3. The button 'Clear DB' will clear your database and drop music references as well as all playlists and other tables. Be careful not to inadvertently clear your master copy.
Operations
the Crawler adds references to all music and video that is found to the master 'Music' table. It optionally adds or appends those references to new or existing playlists. The Crawler is designed to be run repeatedly without re-adding existing music references.
