HighC 2.4 description
HighC 2.4 is a useful tool which aims to create music composition as simple and direct as sketching. It is inspired from Iannis Xenakis UPIC work of the mid 80s. UPIC was used by numerous contemporary music composers at the time. It is free.
- Thanks to nowadays progress in computing power, this tool is now available to a large audience on commodity hardware, with far more features and ease of use.
- Novices and children can use HighC to experiment and learn about harmonics and sound composition. Professional musicians are able to explore a new approach at composition and create new parts or sorts of sound samples to incorporate into their compositions.
- Spectrum and waveshape viewers in the waveform full screen editors.
- Misc. bug and small features, in particular when editing patterns and composite waveforms, and when rendering composite waveforms.
