MusicEase 8.2 makes it easy to create, edit, transpose, play, import scanned music (MusicXML files) and print engraver quality music notation without knowing music copyist rules. See the musical score on your computer screen exactly as it will be printed. Save as MIDI files. Automatic generation of tablature & guitar fret charts. Special support for Plectrum banjo and Handbell music. Imports SongWright and ABC files. Professional version supports shape note music.
Systems can contain any number of staves. Staves can contain 2 voices. Each voice can contain chords of any number of notes. Notes can have durations from a whole note to a 1/16th note (Professional version to 1/64th note). Supports treble, bass, tenor, alto, tenor voice and drum clefs, all meters and keys, print preview, and interstaff beaming and slurs. Automatic cast-off (system break determination) and justification. General MIDI instrument and drum support.

- The MusicEase (for Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT, XP and Vista) music notation software is a full-featured, intelligent music notation editor which produces highly polished, publication quality, printed music. It also automatically generates accompaniments consisting of any number of general MIDI instruments including drums which you can play, print or save as a MIDI file and includes support for scanned music. Previous versions of MusicEase have been reviewed favorably by publications such as the Computer Music Journal and BYTE Magazine. Rated highest in ease-of-use by The Instrumentalist.
- MusicEase works much like a word processing program. For instance, pressing the g key enters the G above middle C. Pressing the 4 key changes the current duration to a quarter note - every note entered from that point on will be of quarter note duration. Pressing the period key followed by the 2 key changes the current duration to a dotted half. End of measure barlines are automatically added. Pressing the Enter key starts a new system. Pressing the Backspace key deletes the previous note/chord/rest. Pressing Backspace at the beginning of a staff appends the current system to the end of the previous system. Etc.
- Any scalable windows fonts/sizes can be used for titles, lyrics, dynamics, chords, etc. and all windows printers are supported. Powerful functions allow you to reformat pieces quickly and experiment with different looks. Import scanned music and then transpose and edit it. Automatically convert from standard notation to tablature and vice/versa. Easily add figured bass. Play using any General MIDI instruments.
- Create Southern shape note songs (professional version only - 4 or 7 shape systems), guitar tablature pieces, hymns, orchestral pieces, pop, rock and folk songs that look as good as you find in sheet music stores. Import any of thousands of SongWright and abc (and MIDI - professional version only) files from the worldwide web and print the corresponding sheet music immediately.
