Most of the personal computers today have an audio card. There are some computers that generate a particular noise on their sound output. The noise is truly exasperating. Its intensity multiplies when the pointing device or a hard drive is in action. The noise is very irritating and tiring making it difficult to bear for more than few quarters of an hour. Some users completely disable the sound in order to continue to work. Changing the sound card, hard drive(s), pointing device and all related cables does not make any difference.

No Noise uses Fourier Transformations, extensively performing enormous numbers of calculations. It runs in the background at the lowest priority level facilitating all unused processor cycles without disrupting the performance of the foreground applications running at higher priority levels (usually about 15 levels above). For this reason if you open the Task Manager and look at the CPU Usage you will notice that when No Noise is in operation the processor is used 100% or thereabout.
