- the .pxd file, for adding pixound to web pages
- the pixound applet or pixAppTM for use off-line as a stand-alone
Pixound allows you to play pictures musically by moving the mouse over them. As you move the mouse, the colors are translated into musical notes in a particular scale and key. The Red, Green and Blue components each are assigned a separate instrument so you have an instant trio jamming away and each picture is a new "score."
The Maker allows you to control the instruments, key, scales, tempo and much more and then save it out and share it with others. This has to be heard to be seen!
