ActiveGrid is an ActiveX control very useful for the representation and the visualization of hierarchical data using a tree representation of the data structures and an exploration of the contents using a specialized grid. It seems to be the ideal solution for the representation of all the models based on hierarchical-structured data that needs a more sophisticated data management. Using this control and writing little code lines you are able to represent complex data realities in a very simple way. Extremely powerful was the possibility to define the entire entity structure without having a loaded visual control, in such a way the entity hierarchy use the control to show itsself. So you can create the entire entity hierarchy and when you must display it you set the root entity of the hierarchy as the root entity of an ActiveGrid control or as a child of an entity contained into his hierarchy. So the entities arent private to the control but the same entities can be used in different controls and in different ways.
