BDS Find Duplicate Files uses advanced techniques to find duplicate contents within files. It caches the information collected from a file once and later on reuses it if nothing in that file changed.
File types supported
Essentially all file types are supported, you can use BDS Find Duplicate Files to find duplicate contents in video files (mpg, mov, avi, vob etc), audio files (mp4, mp4, m4p, wav, snd, wav etc), Microsoft Office documents (xls, ppt, doc, pub etc) or any file type at all.
Special Handling of MP3 files
The program has special handling for MP3 files where, it actually compares the audio stream between the MP3 files and ignores the ID3 tags data, thus if two MP3 files are the same and later on you change the album for both of them to different names, BDS Find Duplicate Files will correctly recognize the two files regardless of their name, location or tag contents.
Access to common actions
Access Microsoft Windows Explorer (tm) commands directly through BDS Find Duplicate Files, commands such as Open, Print, Edit, Preview, Properties, and other shell menu commands. If you have other extensions installed such as Winzip (tm), Aol Instant Messenger (tm) or Yahoo Messenger (tm), you can use their commands from within BDS Find Duplicate Files.
