Budget 4.4 is a perfect tool designed for you to manage your bank account & your budget. Using Budget, you can manage your real world checking, savings, or even credit card accounts at the same time as you're managing your expense envelopes. You can also balance your account, print checks, and view your checkbook register. When you get paid you will manually distribute the income to your envelopes.

The real power of Budget is the ability to set up your budget plan in advance. You define your expenses and preallocate future income deposits directly to your envelopes. When you get paid you simply enter the pay and Budget does the rest. You will find it easy to stick to your budget when you pay your budget first.

Budget is based on the tried and true "Envelope" method of budgeting - a much easier way to see where your money is, where its needed, and where it went.

Budget is a personal finance application based on the proactive envelope model rather than the reactive register model used by other home financial programs. You write checks from each envelope when the bill is due. The main window shows at a glance if you are keeping to your budget. Budget does not force you to follow a budget, but it does show you exactly where youre spending your money.
