checkBox will help you to analyze and curtail printing costs checkBox is a cross-platform, client-based print control and accounting system which will help you to analyze and curtail printing costs. It is designed to be used in-conjunction with checkBox Server, our centralized user and print control system.
Choice of Billing Modes
Silent Analysis Mode (as shown above)
This mode allows you to track print jobs and collect information without showing a "popup" dialog or asking the user for any input.
Bill-To-User Mode
This mode allows you to track print jobs and collect print job information by showing a popup dialog which asks the user to enter a Username and Password so that the cost of the print job can be deducted from the users account.
Billing ID Mode
This mode allows you to track print jobs and collect print job information by showing a popup dialog which asks the user to enter a "Billing ID", or whatever it might be labeled as,so that the cost of the print job can be assigned to the specific ID.

Detailed Organizational Printer Controls
These preferences can be used to manage Users, Control Printers, Groups, Administrators, and "Custom Named Billing IDs". These IDs can be named "Billing IDs", "Job IDs", or whatever your organization might call them.
Database Backup
This handy backup feature will automatically backup your entire database of users, printers, groups, admins, billing IDs, and all associated logs into a time-stamped, versioned format that can be moved to a secure location for safekeeping.
Client Serial Number Auto-Distribution System
The checkBox™ Serial Number Auto-Distribution System will automatically and silently activate each client machine with the server so that you dont have to "touch" each machine personally. This proprietary innovation was created so that all of our clients, large and small, can easily install checkBox™ across many machines safely and easily.
Detailed Job Batching Control
Enabling the Batching feature will allow people who are working on one project for a certain amount of time to assign the same project code to all subsequent prints up to a maximum specified amount of print jobs or minutes. See Client description below for more information.
Custom Code Search
This tab allows you to search through your database of billing IDs and codes, even if you only remember the first few characters of the billing code.
Detailed Print Job Information
This tab will display every tracked piece of information for your print job, such as Printer Name, Application Name, Total Pages Printed, Device URI. For a complete list of tracked items, please refer to the Product Specifications and System Requirements document.
Custom Code Name Display
The custom "Billing ID" text that is set in the checkBox™ Server Administration tool is displayed here. This text can be set to anything that may be appropriate for your organization, such as "Job Code" or "Client Code".
Client-Side Job Batching Control
If you are working on one project code for a certain amount of print jobs or minutes, you can specify how many consecutive print jobs will have the same Billing ID code set to them. You can also set a "timeout" limit up to a maximum of what is set within the checkBox™ Server. See illustration below.
