Magnetic North today announced the launch of their new Click To Call plug-in for Salesforce on salesforce.com s AppExchange marketplace. Click To Call boosts productivity of Salesforce users by enabling them to simply double click any phone number in Salesforce to call that contact from their phone. Calls are automatically recorded for transaction verification and security and the notes / call history is automatically saved to the Salesforce contact history with a link to play back the recorded call. Built on the Force.com platform, Click To Call for AppExchange is immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://ondemand.magneticnorth.com/CLICKTOCALL/tabid/240/Default.aspx. The plug in is free for users and comes with a few minutes of free calling time for testing, after which customers can buy calling credit. Click To Call requires no integration to customers phone systems and works with home phone lines, VOIP lines, mobiles and direct dial extensions on office phone systems. The announcement was made today at Dreamforce 07, salesforce.com s User and Developer Conference.

Magnetic North has calculated that using Click To Call will save busy users approximately 14 seconds per call, giving the average sales person a savings of more than 900 seconds a day, which is enough time to prospect 3 new accounts or give one 15 minute product demo over the phone.

Click To Call works quite simply - phone numbers are highlighted within Salesforce and other productivity applications such as Microsoft Outlook and all users need to do is click to call the number required. They are then instantly connected to their contact, reducing the time spent in contact management. SMS messages can also be created and sent via the Click To Call client, enhancing the communication options available to users. Calls can be automatically recorded, providing a record of what was discussed for immediate play back, quality control, and dispute management
