DocHaven (Windows) 3.2 offers a comprehensive and easy-to-use Document Management System. Think of it as a 'virtual library' for your documents. You can run it in one of three ways - from one standalone laptop (Macintosh, Windows or Linux) to a LAN with thousands of users or on a service hosted entirely on the 'Cloud'.
DocHaven reverses the location of your backup files. Instead of the bulk of your files residing locally and having periodic off-site backups, DocHaven stores all your documents safely off your computer and you periodically call them down or make backups to your local computer.
Instead of storing your documents in an ever-increasing number of folders on your hard drive, you store them in 'Projects', booking them out and checking them back in. Clicking simple icons, DocHaven users can create standard document templates, keep multiple versions, 'Take Out', 'Copy Out' and 'Put Away'. Documents are stored in Projects that can hold any number of files and folders from any program. Users can log in over the internet and take out only those documents they have access to, with all access logged.
