Index Files Search Words 6.11  is an intelligent software for indexing and searching HTML files, text files or files of a similar kind (such as XML files) in a hierarchy of files either on CD, a hard disk or some similar storage medium (not files on an online website).

This software consists of two modules:

1. An index module which is used to create an index of the files to be searched.
2. A search module which is used to search those files.

Major Features:

1. Indexes every word in every file, and any file containing a particular set of words (or any of those words, or an exact phrase) can be found by searching for those words
2. Be capable of indexing a file over 1 MB in size, and containing over 10,000 different words. Even with that number of different words a search returns results in a few seconds. The results (presented as extracts from the file, containing the search words) are displayed by the software and can also be displayed in a page in your default web browser. 

Enhancements: Now fully Vista-compatible.

Requirements: A video resolution of 800x600 or preferably better.
