OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel 3.0

Extends the built-in OLAP features in Excel and makes them easier to work with, especially for workgroups. Most organizations have lots of databases that contains huge amounts of information. Large investments have been made in developing those databases. However, usually the investments stop when it comes to developing a front-end for exploring that data.
OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel extends the built-in OLAP features in Excel and makes them easier to work with, especially for workgroups. Users can share customized reports without effort.
Either display a graph or a table or a combination of both. Choose between all the Excel graph types and also use the multi-graph feature to display multiple graphs side by side, compared on any set of data.
The application connects to a .cub file or directly to Microsoft Analysis Services. Nothing is installed on the client – simply run the executable, it will look for .cub files or let you connect to the server.
OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel came into being in as an attempt to resolve that problem. It is an integrated part in two of my other applications – Public Folder HelpDesk for Outlook and Outlook TimeCard – but it can be used stand-alone as well.
This application features the concept of report descriptions. You can describe the report in three ways:
1. Super Category – top level categorization
2. Category – sub level categorization
3. Free text description of the report in html format. With the mini .html editor you can easily describe your reports in rich text format, a good help for people who are not used to analyzing statistics reports.
