PDF/Mergician is a useful PDF mail merger utility that can create personalized mailings or reports using PDF forms as templates. Import data from any data base or XML document. Apply master/detail relations to documents, pages and field groups. Export to disk, e-mail, printer, fax or web browser. Run as batch, application or web service.
Merge data to PDF forms - Instead of introducing a proprietary format to design your pages, PDF/Mergician allows you to use any PDF form as a template for your (mail) merge. This allows you to use existing forms, create new forms inside PDF/Mergician or use new templates using a wide variety of industry-strength authoring applications.
Use data from any source - Supported data sources include Microsoft SQL server, Oracle, XML / XPath, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, CSV and any ODBC or OLE DB data source.
Easy editing - A WYSIWYG editor lets you select fields as you see them on the page.
Formatting options - You can apply any formatting to your numbers, currencies, dates and other data.
Various export methods - The output of your merge can be exported in different ways. Export methods include save to disk, e-mail, send to printer, send to fax, send to browser, create PPML job and send to multiple destinations.
Create complex PDF documents - You can then define a merge that outputs a document for each customer. Each document has a cover page containing customer data, followed by multiple order pages for that customer. Per order page you can have rows that correspond to order items.
Create secure mailings - You can sign any PDF document using industry standard certificates.
Deployment scenarios - A merge can run interactively, unattended or as a web service. Unlimited distribution of merge projects possible.
