Personal Information Explorer is a MS Access 97/2000 database which is of general purpose and a personal organizer that will take advantage of the data manipulation features of Microsoft Access 97/2000. Storage of every day commonly used web site (URL) addresses, access to OLE Objects and attachments, a preview of reports before printing, a Windows Explorer like interface and a File Cabinet organization metaphor are built-in features of this program.
The database design was modeled from the real world, where at one time or another we all would store written forms of information in filing cabinets or desk drawers that contained folders and files. Over time, folders would get misplaced and files would get placed into the wrong folder, hence the need for an automated form of personal organization.
