ProcesSimO HCH is a free tool that includes a humidity chart and a unit converter, as well as different unit systems and numeric formats. The humidity chart utility can be used to visualize either the state of a drying gas or an isenthalpic drying process. The unit converter utility covers all chemical engineering units.
Using the mouse, you can drag the state of the gas to different positions on the chart, and the table variables will instantly be updated. Conversely, you can modify the value of a variable in the table, and the position of the gas state on the chart will change accordingly.
The intensive calculations required when modeling a drying process such as the states of moist gas for convective dryers (the majority of all industrial dryers) or special state variables (wet-bulb temperature, absolute and relative humidity) are now much easier to perform. Its time to throw away the ruler and the paper psychrometric charts!
