QR-Code Font and Encoder for Windows 2009 offers a professional tool which allows you to print of two dimensional QR-Code barcodes from Windows with TrueType, PostScript or PCL laserjet soft fonts. Includes Word, Access, Crystal Reports and VB examples with COM and .NET framework encoder DLLs.

The IDAutomation QR Code Font and Encoder is a collection of components that generate QR-Code symbols with fonts and graphics. QR-Code is a two-dimensional (2D) matrix type barcode symbology similar to Data Matrix and Aztec capable of encoding large amounts of data. The "QR" in the name refers to "Quick Response", as the creator (Denso-Wave) intended the symbol to be quickly decoded. The data encoded may include letters, text, numbers, double-byte characters, URLs and files. IDAutomation recommends limiting the data encoded in each symbol to 800 characters or less if possible because some scanners and imagers do not easily decode large symbols.

Encoder Feature Comparison:

Multiple encoders provide more application integration options. It is necessary to use an encoder because of the complexity of the symbols. Font encoders return a text string, that when printed or displayed with the QR-Code font, create the QR-Code symbol, as demonstrated in the QR Code Encoder for Microsoft® Windows® Tutorial.

Major Features:

For example, the Hand Held Products 2D Imager scans symbols printed with IDAutomation's QR-Code font as small as 3 points, which is an X dimensionf .025CMr 10 mils.

• TrueType fonts are supplied in PC and Macintosh format. The TrueType TTF fonts are compatible with MacintoshS X and all versionsf Microsoft Windows, including Pocket PC. Macintosh formatted MTT TrueType fonts are compatible with Macintosh System 7.1 and above.
• PenTypeTF fonts with PostScriptutlines are provided. These are compatible with Windows®, MacintoshS X andther systems supporting the penType format.
• PostScript Type 1 fonts are supplied in binary, ASCII and Macintosh versions.
• Also included in this package are PCL 5 laserjet soft fonts from 2-14 points.
• The Developer License grants the right to convert IDAutomation fonts tother formats as necessary including TrueDoc andpenType.
