RiskyProject Lite 3.1.1 Ranking & Summary
RiskyProject Lite 3.1.1 description
RiskyProject Lite 3.1.1 offers you a useful tool for managing your schedules. This is project management software with integrated risk management. RiskyProject Lite helps project managers to plan the project and determine how risks will affect projects. RiskyProject allows the manager to create a project schedule and risks or import them from other project management software, perform quantitative risk analysis, and track project performance with risks and uncertainties.
RiskyProject Lite was designed especially for project managers without any prior knowledge of risk analysis theory. With it, you can define a project schedule: tasks, dependencies, constraints, resources, and costs. Or, you can import the project schedule from Microsoft Project, MindManager, or other products. Once you have a project schedule in RiskyProject, just add different risks affecting schedule, cost, quality, performance, safety, and other parameters - at the project level and for each separate task or resource. You also can define ranges for task duration, cost, start and finish times. This information together with project schedule is used in the risk analysis.
RiskyProject uses Risk Register to manage risks: open and close risks, assign risk properties, convert risk to issues, and rank risks based on their probability, impact, and score.
RiskyProject Lite determines how risks and uncertainties will affect the project schedule. RiskyProject Lite presents you with Risk-aware Gantt Chart ? uncertainties in task duration, start and finish times are shown graphically in a special Gantt Chart.
You'll be more successful with your projects because you've thought through the risks and dealt with them from the beginning. RiskyProject cannot prevent risks, but it can make you a lot smarter about them.
Major Features:
- RiskyProject is built around its own scheduling system. You can define task parameters, relationships between them, constraints, resources, and cost without using Microsoft® Project, Primavera® or any other scheduling software. However, if you already a user of Project, Primavera, or other project management software, you can seamlessly open project, created by these software and augment existing data by assigning uncertainties to your tasks and projects.
- RiskyProject Lite allows you to calculate project schedules, which account for risks and uncertainties. You can define different risks at the project level and for each separate task or resource. Each risk is defined by its chance of occurrence, outcome (increase duration, cost, cancel task, etc.) and time of occurrence.
- You can define uncertainties as ranges for duration, task start and finish times, lag, and cost.
- RiskyProject Lite does not require you to define input distributions for uncertainties in duration, cost, etc. Also RiskyProject Lite does not output distributions associated with results of probabilistic analysis. All complex statistical calculations are hidden. As a result RiskyProject Lite can be used by project managers without experience in statistics and risk analysis.
- You can define uncertainties as ranges for duration, task start and finish times, lag, and cost.
- Project Dashboard 3x3 is an easy way to view results of analysis: three main project parameters (cost, duration, finish time) with and without risk; three most crucial tasks, three most critical risks
- RiskyProject performs earned value analysis based on baseline project schedule and project schedule with risks and uncertainties (results of analysis). RiskyProject allows you to specify or calculate actual cost for each task. Actual cost, budgeted cost, and cost as a result of analysis (with risks and uncertainties) are displayed using interactive cash flow diagrams. You can determine difference between actual and budgeted cost on the each stage of the project.
- Optimistic (low) and pessimistic (high) project schedule can be displayed separately on Result Gantt chart. It gives you an opportunity to analyze different project scenarios.
- WBS Chart Pro and PERT Chart Expert are used to present and modify project schedules in two different graphic formats. This software has been developed by Critical Tools. Both of these applications can be launched from the toolbar or from the menu.
- Because real-life data is sometimes the only way to assess your uncertainties correctly, tracking is one of the most important components of RiskyProject. To track a task, you enter the percentage of the task done on the particular date. RiskyProject then calculates the projected task duration and updates the risk profile of the task. The project schedule is recalculated to give you a more accurate estimate of total cost, project finish time, and duration.
- RiskyProject Lite can publish original (baseline) project schedules, as well as the results of analysis on the Web using Project Reporter from CoGenTex. The portfolio of all published projects can be presented and analyzed on the web. This helps to present your results to the team members or to do a risked vs. unrisked analysis of projects within a portfolio.
- RiskyProject allows you setup task deadlines and assign different actions to them. For example, tasks can be canceled if the task or reaches the deadline. In this case, the success rate of the task (chance the project or task will be completed) is reduced.
Enhancements:
- Risk register: threats, opportunities, and issues;
- Schedule and non-schedule risks (quality, safety...);
- Risk probability vs. Impact Matrix;
- Mitigation analysis using multiple baselines
Requirements:
- Pentium 500 MHz,
- 128 MB RAM,
- 20 MB hard drive
