VirtualGPS 1.39

VirtualGPS 1.39 offers you a free and small tool, which fully emulates GPS module and returns your location (by using cellular towers). Accuracy of coordinates is about 200m in urban area and up to 5km in countryside. Screenshots are explaining how to use VirtualGPS with Navigation software (e.g. "Google Maps"). Navigation software can read data from GPS in two ways:

1. Taking raw NMEA data directly from port
   
2. Taking location from intermediate driver
   

Tutorial:

1. Smartphone should be able to use privileged api. Connect PC and smartphone via ActiveSync and run this tool
2. Check the internet connection on your gadget.
3. Run VirtualGPS, wait about 1 minute until GPS: ON (or OFF in case of no reception) is shown.
4. Do not quit the program unless you need it.
5. Run navigation software. In the settings put GPS on COMx (Port is displayed on the main screen).
6. Now your gadget thinks its connected to real GPS ;)

Major Features: 

1. VirtualGPS works with any navigation software
2. VirtualGPS supports wider range of devices because it uses 3 modes of getting cellular info instead of one like in google maps. (e.g. google maps does not work with IPAQ Voice Messenger, but this program does).
3. VirtualGPS can work in PDA without phone module, see AT mode.
   

Enhancements:

1. Pro version has much bigger cells database, thus program will be able to obtain current position more often.
2. Also it has emulation of intermediate driver. S
3. ome navigation programs can work only with intermediate driver.
