- Select your Media Target for a Press Release Campaign:
- Select media from the main database or from your own contacts database.
- View recipients details and contact information, select and exclude recipients before sending.
- Optionally select the relevant media categories for your Press Release submission or individual contacts within a particular media group.
- The full featured database allows targeted selections to specific areas or sectors of the media with just one click. Select by Media Type (Radio Stations, TV, Magazines, ...) or target into your market by using a Keyword, related to your target market, like let's say "agriculture" or "California", and performing a media search. The Media Selection Screen allows "one click" sorting of the database, so you can quickly target your mailings. - Once you have selected the contacts, you can see the total number of media contacts at the bottom of the screen and then optionally generate a report including all targeted media. This report is useful to send to a client, or to keep in your files so you have a record of who you sent your release to. It is also very useful as a telephone contact sheet to, for example, follow up your press release with the media.

- Add new contacts: the database editor allows you to add, edit or delete new contacts and to create your own media groups and categories.
- Import contacts: Active MediaMagnet allows you to easily import your own contacts from an existing database. Just choose the 'My Contacts' database and click on 'Import Contacts'. You are then able to import any text file or comma delimited (.csv) file (including Microsoft Access, Excel, SQL and many other programs). All the new contacts imported will be automatically added to the database and available for your next mailing!
- Remove Notice and Remove E-Mail from Sending List: Active MediaMagnet allows you to automatically include a Remove Notice at the end of your press release. You can then remove the email of any media contact that asks to be removed from your sending list from the Settings Menu of the program.
- Live Database Update: Select "Database Updater" from the Updates Menu on Active MediaMagnet main screen. Live Update let’s you connect to our server and download the latest Media Contact Databases (you will need the Professional Edition to use this service).
