FeedGarner is an RSS aggregator that can read RSS and Atom feeds. Yet another one, I hear you say...
True, FeedGarner is hardly the first of its kind but the reason why I resorted to writing my own is I could not find a free aggregator that would meet my personal requirements.
For a start, I really do not lile the Outlook-like, three-pane interface most have adopted. Conversely, FeedGarner has an interface reminiscent of iTunes that allows for a more pleasant browsing experience.
FeedGarner is more than simply an aggregator; it also is a "podcatcher", a Podcast client. As it is enclosure-aware, FeedGarner can download media files (podcasts) directly to your favourite player (well, it will in the near future... ;). Currently, it downloads podcasts to a folder of your choice). iTunes and Windows Media Player will be supported.
