The ThunderBrowse Thunderbird extension adds a URL Bar to the Thunderbird interface, thus allowing you to be able to view websites without having to open browsers.
Easy to use and its unobtrusive because it doesnt require you to add any more buttons to your toolbar, as it adds to the message preview pane, without taking up much space. ThunderBrowse also comes with commands to make ThunderBrowsing easier!
Main features:
- Allows you to right click a link and choose to "Visit in Browser" to visit it firefox or IE
- Works with GET and POST web forms
- Browser history (for the Back and Forward button) and refresh abilities
- Supports Javascript (check the options to see how to enable it)
- Hotkeys to control going back, forward and to refresh. Check about:commands to see the key combos
- Full screen mode, so you dont have to just browse in that tiny area (customize the toolbar and add the window like icon).
- Collapsible bar (you might need to customize the toolbar and add the thunderbrowse logo)
- Language support for Dutch, Italian, Swedish, German, Bulgarian, Slovak, Polish, French, Portuguese, Brazilian and Japanese
- Mouse click commands (left depends, middle click opens new tab in firefox, right context menu)
- Contains search commands for popular websites [flickr, google, wikipedia, yahoo] so you can search easily (documentation is in about:commands)
- Extension options featuring turning on and off of button labels, javascript and the title grabber
- Works with the following protocols: mailto:, whois:, chrome:, http:, mailbox:, file:, source:, view-source:, https:, javascript:
- All the various commands and features in the ThunderBrowse extension can be viewed by typing in "about:commands" [without quotes]
