This plugin is meant to be simple, fast and easy. It helps by looking at the clipboard, and if it already has text in it, the plugin will be pre-populated with the clipboards contents.
Also it makes pasting in of HTML easier. Now, if youre in the Normal view, and you paste in HTML, youre as likely as not to get a much of HTML tags. When you really wanted the formatted result of the HTML you were pasting in and not a bunch of HTML tags. Think "Paste as HTML..."
