GeniusConnect 4.0.0.8 Beta 4 is an application which turns Outlook® into a more powerful information management tool through database connectivity!

This tool allows you to synchronize data. Changes to an E-mail address, phone number or name in a central database will never effect Outlook Contact data stored on other workstations.

GeniusConnect makes it possible to synchronize Contact data with any relational database that supports ODBC (Open database connectivity).

GeniusConnect supports loading data from the database into an Outlook® contact folder or storing data from Outlook into the database. It is possible to use GeniusConnect on multiple Outlook Contact Folders and multiple databases.

The user can protect his private contact data by using a different Contact Folder to store private contacts or by telling GeniusConnect to ignore Contacts that are marked as private.

Major Features:

1. GeniusConnect supports synchronization of the following Outlook / Exchange Folder types
   
   • Microsoft® Outlook® 2002/2003/2007:Calendar,Contact,Mail, Task, Journal, Note
   • Microsoft® Outlook® 2000:Contact
2. Link your own database schema:Select your database table or view and link the columns to outlook fields. Define data conversion (int to char, date to char etc.) and SQL statements for generation of the primary key.
   
3. Load selected item(s):Load database data for selected outlook item(s) into the outlook folder and update the outlook item(s) data. The selected outlook item(s) will be updated only if a database record already exists.
   
4. Store selected item(s):Store selected outlook item(s) data in the database. If a database record already exists, the data will be updated. If a database record doesn’t exist, a new record will be inserted.
   
5. Load all items:Load all database records in the outlook folder. If a outlook item already exists, the data will be updated. If the outlook item doesn’t exist, a new outlook item will be inserted into the outlook folder.
   
6. Store all items:Store all outlook items from the outlook folder in the database. If a database record already exists, the data will be updated. If a database record doesn’t exist, a new record will be inserted.
   
7. Ignore private items:Ignore all outlook items that are marked as private.
   
8. Never update Outlook® items:Never update outlook items that already exists in the contact folder.
   
9. Never update database items: Never update database data that already exists in the database.
   
10. Delete Outlook® items when an item is removed from the database
    
11. Auto-synchronize:Automatically load or store data based on schedulers.
    
12. Show progress:Show progress dialog during loading or storing of data.
    Link multiple folders:Every outlook folder can be linked to a different table(and/or database).  
    
13. Import/ Export link setting: Import or export information about link (mapping) between an Outlook® field and database table field from/to a file.

    • Synchronization process visible in Outlook® status bar if progress dialog not used.
    • Process can be aborted by pressing a key.
18. Silent delete:Outlook® items will be deleted without confirmation dialog.
    
19. Message class (form description): Outlook® field form description can be linked to a field. This is helpful for using custom forms.
    
20. ANSI quoted identifiers:
    
    •  SQL statements are generated using ANSI quoted identifiers.
    • Column/Table/View names with, for example, space characters or reserved keywords can be used.
    • Use Checkbox on assign table dialog to set use of ANSI identifiers per folder.
21. User-defined fields:Outlook User-defined fields can be linked to a table column.
    
22. Auto Save on Outlook Item change: Save Outlook Item(s) to database immediately after a change has been made. New Items will be automatically inserted.
    
23. Delete all Outlook Items before Load All:  All Outlook Item(s) will be deleted before Load All action. Use this option to empty the folder before loading all items. (Private Items will not be deleted if the "Only synchronize non-private items" options is used).
    
24. Delete all Database Records before Store All: All records will be deleted before Store All action. Use this option to empty the database table before storing all items. (If Filter is used: the where clause will be used for the delete action).
    
25. Delete Database Record when Outlook Item deleted: Database record will be deleted immediately after Outlook Item has been deleted.
