This download provides the DirectX 9.0c end-user redistributable that developers may include with their products. The redistributable license agreement covers the terms under which developers may use the redistributable download direct x 8 for free.
Note: The DirectX 9.0c 6.9 proteus runtime cannot be uninstalled. It is recommended that Windows Me and Windows XP users create a system restore point before installing.
