To install and run EasyShare software, log on as an Administrator.

EasyShare software requires a minimum of 200 MB of free hard disk space. If you have more than a few hundred pictures/videos in My Collection, you may need considerably more disk space, depending on the size of your pictures.

Firewall software blocks features that require access to the Internet, such as emailing, ordering prints online, accessing online services, and using the EasyShare center. If you experience a problem, make EasyShare software a "trusted" application in the firewall configuration.

For best on-screen viewing, set your monitor resolution to 1024 by 768 pixels or higher. A lower resolution may result in some user interface elements and pictures not displaying properly.

Installation Instructions:

1. Verify that your computer meets the system requirements.
2. NOTE: APPLE QUICKTIME Player is required for some software features. Visit APPLE to download the latest version of the QUICKTIME Player.
3. Disconnect all accessory devices from your computer (digital camera, camera dock, printer dock, photo printer, card reader, etc.).
4. Verify that you logged on to the computer using the administrator account.
5. Close all programs.
6. Download the software.
7. When the download is complete, select Start > Programs > Kodak > Kodak EasyShare > Kodak Easyshare software.

Major Features:

1. Find and organize
   • Tag your photos: Kayla’s graduation. Halloween 08. Tag your photos your way, making it easier to access and share them. Tags are compatible with many other photo management programs and photo Web sites, too.
   • Rate your pictures: If your last trip to the beach was 5 stars all the way, then rate your pictures as your best, too. Rate your pictures with 1 to 5 stars and quickly find them later.
   • Get organized: Organize your pictures by tag, star rating, or date. Sort by date using calendar view. You can even add captions.
   • Find photos easier: Find those pictures of Kayla’s graduation faster and easier than ever before. Search by keyword, star rating or both.
   • Know where your pictures are: Even if you move pictures around on your PC, KODAK EASYSHARE Software will still know where they are.
2. Get creative
   • Edit with ease: Just one click and you can reduce red eye; even enhance and crop pictures. Add text to a photo or click on Facial Retouch for an electronic facelift. Aunt Matilda never looked so good!
   • Be unique: Click on the Creative Projects tab. Then turn that graduation picture into the perfect thank you card. Choose from hundreds of templates to make album pages, invitations, holiday cards, and more. Use ARCSOFT PRINT CREATIONS to personalize photo projects at home.
   • Go online: Upload your pictures to the KODAK Gallery from the Creative Project tab and have prints and photo gifts made. Get everything from playing cards to puzzles to Teddy Bears using your favorite picture.
   • Make a video: Did you catch that frontside tailslide your son did on his new skateboard? Now you can trim, splice, rotate, and add music to video clips. And then upload it to YouTube™ with one click.
3. Better ways to share:
   •  Email an attachment: Can’t figure out how to resize your pictures to email them? The software will automatically optimize the picture size for emailing, and attach your picture to send directly to your friends.
   • Email a link: Create online albums to share pictures by email without large attachments. Just email a link to your sunny vacation pictures to have all your friends green with envy.
   • Print with ease: If Uncle Bob couldn’t make the family reunion this year, print pictures at home or online and he’ll feel just like he was there. What better way to share your memories?
