PLT Export for Bricscad 1.0

PLT Export for Bricscad 1.0 provides a great application that can allow you to export geometric data to HPGL plot files. PLT Export for Briscad reads the objects in an Briscad drawing and converts them into corresponding pen movements in a HPGL Plot file.

Installation & Usage:

Since PLT Export for Briscad is a plug-in for Briscad powered applications, it must be loaded into the application's environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the PLT Export for Briscad Getting Started document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into the Briscad powered application, simply click on the menu items in the "PLTExport" sub menu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

The 'PLTExport' menu consists of the following commands:

• PLTExport - Exports a PLT file.
• PLTExportHelp - Displays the PLT Export for Briscad help file.
• PLTExportRegister - Registers your copy of PLT Export for Briscad.
• PLTExportAbout - Displays the PLT Export for Briscad About box
  

The PLT File Format:

• HPGL is the Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language designed for specifying 2D graphical information for the HP range of plotters. It was not intended as an interchange format but some software suppliers use it as such.
• HPGL is a command set embedded in the ROM of pen plotters to help reduce the work required by applications programmers to create plotted output.
• HPGL uses two-letter mnemonics as instructions for drawing lines, circles, text, and simple symbols.
• HPGL is the primary printer control language used by Hewlett-Packard plotters. It later became a standard for almost all plotters.

3. PLT Export for Briscad is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the Briscad environment. Follow the simple instructions in the ReadMe document which can be found in the installation folder. Once loaded it adds new commands to Briscad's existing commands and a new submenu called "PLTExport" to the Briscad menu containing these newly added commands.
