PLT Import for Bricscad 1.0 offers a professional program that can allow you to import geometric data from HPGL PLT files. PLT is the Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language designed for specifying 2D graphical information for the HP range of plotters.

Installation & Usage

Since PLT Import for Bricscad is a plug-in for Bricscad powered applications, it must be loaded into the application's environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the PLT Import for Bricscad Getting Started document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into the Bricscad powered application, simply click on the menu items in the "PLTImport" sub menu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

The PLT File Format

1. HPGL is the Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language designed for specifying 2D graphical information for the HP range of plotters. It was not intended as an interchange format but some software suppliers use it as such.
2. HPGL is a command set embedded in the ROM of pen plotters to help reduce the work required by applications programmers to create plotted output.
