TopoR 4.3

TopoR 4.3 is a useful and user-friendly Topological PCB Autorouter. It routes PCBs with free-angle technology and make arc-like traces. The result is far superior to any shape-based auto-router or even time-consuming manual routing. Specctra DSN/SES interface is supported to exchange data with PCB CAD packages. 650 pin version is available for free.

Major Features:

1. High-quality autorouting and improved electro-magnetic compatibility: Route the wiring topology automatically and flexibly (directions are not limited by 90 and 45 degree). TopoR routes with less number of vias/layers and length of traces if compare to other autorouters. Each wire has a minimal length and goes around pads with a proper clearance. Absence of preferred routing directions in layers considerably reduces wire parallelism, which in its turn reduces electromagnetic crosstalks.
2. Easy to learn user interface: TopoR has intuitive user interface that allows you to learn it and make your first free-angle design in few hours. Before all operations TopoR shows tips that helps in your work. User manual and tutorials guides your through the routing process and allows to get started with ease.
3. Simultaneous optimization of multiple layout versions: TopoR can perform parallel optimization of several alternative topology variants, which differ in optimized parameters, while the user is offered a choice of selecting one or several variants.
4. Ability to assign minimal and preferred clearance for each net: A user can immediately define the technical possibility of routing the board within the limits of the specified number of layers, specified clearance and other technical limitations based on the routing density and the amount of technical constraints violations.
5. TopoR can displace components on a routed board: One the unique features of TopoR is its capability to move components on the routed board while preserving the connections topology. Geometry and positioning of components are automatically calculated to comply with the new components position. Movement of components, vias and wire branching is used to decrease wires length, provide the utmost clearance space which should be not less than required (to eliminate the narrow spaces). Movement can be performed both manually and automatically, and the most effective wires shape is defined immediately.
6. Smart BGA component routing: Due to absence of preferred routing directions in layers and deep level of optimization TopoR provides quality routing of contemporary BGA components, which is traditionally a very difficult problem for other routers.
7. Interface with CAD Systems: TopoR supports standard Specctra DSN/SES interface that most CAD systems have. Also TopoR can import/export P-CAD and PADS ASCII formats.
8. Design Rule Check: TopoR checks minimum and optimal clearances between traces, pads and vias on each stage of the design work. You can move/rotate components and edit traces based on DRC results.
9. Shape-based copper pour: Powerful copper pour system can help to reduce your manufacturing costs by minimizing the amount of etching solution required. To use it, all you have to do is insert a copper area on your board and any pad or trace inside the selected area will be automatically surrounded with a gap of the desired size.
10. Manufacturing output formats: TopoR provides support for a number of different manufacturing output formats. You can produce DXF, N/C Drill files for numerically controlled (N.C.) drilling machines and RS-274X Gerber files for sending to board manufacturers.

• DRC is available in the "Manual routing" mode.
• You can view detailed descriptions and highlight objects (wires, pads, vias) that cause DRC violations by clicking DRC objects.
• You can create polygonal metal areas and keepouts.
• You can create and edit text labels on the board.
• Object selection has been improved. You can easily select objects from a list.
• Selection filters allow you to disable selection of undesired objects.
