VTK Export for Solid Edge 1.0

VTK Export for Solid Edge 1.0 is designed as a professional program that can allow you to export geometric data from Solid Edge to ASCII and Binary VTK files. VTK Export for Solid Edge tessellates solid bodies in a Solid Edge document into a set of triangular meshes. These meshes are then exported to a VTK file as mesh objects. The VTK file can then be imported into a variety of CAD application.

Installation & Usage:
Since VTK Export for Solid Edge is an add-in for Solid Edge, it must be loaded into the Solid Edge environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the VTK Export for Solid Edge ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the add-in file into Solid Edge, simply click on the menu items in the "VTK Export for Solid Edge" submenu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

• Export - Exports a VTK file
• Help - Displays the VTK Export for Solid Edge help file
• Register - Registers your copy of VTK Export for Solid Edge

The VTK File Format:
The Visualization ToolKit (VTK) is an open source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization used by thousands of researchers and developers around the world. VTK consists of a C++ class library, and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. The Toolkit stores geometric data in a file format known as VTK. Very few CAD applications have the ability to read and write VTK files.
