VTK Import for Acrobat 1.0

VTK Import for Acrobat 1.0  offers a powerful tool which can allow you to import geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files. VTK Import for Acrobat reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into Acrobat. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular or quad faces. VTK Import for Acrobat imports meshes in a VTK file as a 3D annotation in a PDF file.

Installation & Usage:

Since VTK Import for Acrobat is a plug-in for Acrobat, it must be loaded into the Acrobat environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the VTK Import for Acrobat ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into Acrobat, Simply click on the menu items in the "VTKImport" submenu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

• Help - Displays the VTK Import for Acrobat help file
• Register - Registers your copy of VTK Import for Acrobat

The VTK File Format:

The Visualization ToolKit (VTK) is an open source, freely available software system for 3D computer graphics, image processing, and visualization used by thousands of researchers and developers around the world. VTK consists of a C++ class library, and several interpreted interface layers including Tcl/Tk, Java, and Python. The Toolkit stores geometric data in a file format known as VTK. Very few CAD applications have the ability to read and write VTK files.
