VTK Import for SketchUp 1.0

VTK Import for SketchUp 1.0 is designed as a professional program that can allow you to import geometric data from ASCII and Binary VTK files. VTK Import for SketchUp reads polygon mesh data stored in VTK files and imports it into SketchUp. A polygon mesh in a VTK file is comprised of a set of triangular and/or quad faces.

Installation & Usage:

Since OBJ Import for Bricscad is a plug-in for Bricscad powered applications, it must be loaded into the application's environment before it can be used. Please follow the simple instructions in the OBJ Import for Bricscad ReadMe document which is copied into the installation folder. After you have loaded the plug-in file into the Bricscad powered application, simply click on the menu items in the "OBJImport" sub menu to run these new commands. Truly, software made simple!

The 'OBJImport' menu consists of the following commands:

• OBJImport - Imports a OBJ file
• OBJImportHelp - Displays the OBJ Import for Bricscad help file
• OBJImportRegister - Registers your copy of OBJ Import for Bricscad
• OBJImportAbout - Displays the OBJ Import for Bricscad About box

The OBJ File Format

• The OBJ file format is a geometry definition file format first developed by Wavefront Technologies for its Advanced Visualizer animation package.
• The file format is open and has been adopted by other 3D graphics application vendors, making it a universally accepted geometry file format.
• The OBJ file format is a simple data format that represents 3D geometry alone - namely, the position of each vertex, the texture coordinate associated with a vertex, the normal at each vertex, and the faces that make each polygon.

Alias (now part of Autodesk) is the world's leading innovator of 2D/3D graphics technology for the film, video, games, interactive media, industrial design, automotive industry and visualization markets. Their OBJ ASCII file format is widely accepted the world over for exchanging data between CAD applications.
2. OBJ files contain objects which are made up of groups of 3 or 4 sided faces. 
3. OBJ Import for Bricscad converts these groups of faces into PolyFace Mesh entities and adds them to the active drawing.
4. OBJ Import for Bricscad is very easy to use. Once installed, it must be loaded into the Bricscad environment.
5. Follow the simple instructions in the ReadMe document which can be found in the installation folder. Once loaded it adds new commands to Bricscad's existing commands and a new submenu called "OBJImport" to the Bricscad menu containing these newly added commands.
