BasicMouse and BasicBoard 5.8.6

BasicMouse and BasicBoard 5.8.6 is a software designed for children, people with learning disabilities or 'restricted computers, which reduces the problem of accidental right clicks and the resulting context menus. You can return your mouse and keyboard to normal at anytime by clicking on the system tray icon.
In addition, this tool prevent users from accessing things you don't want them to touch, e.g. system functions, websites, etc; and allows parents and teachers to easily restrict several functions of the computer mouse and keyboard and includes a safe web browser component.

BasicMouse includes BasicBrowser a web browser component which lets you add websites your kids or students can visit safely. Users are not able to enter anything in the address bar and visit unwanted websites, they are only allowed to visit the sites you want them to visit click requests on ads, other websites which url is different from the one you specify will be simply ignored.

Why BasicBrowser instead of your regular browser?

1. Educational software: a really useful program for students and kids:
   • Helps them learn to use the mouse.
   • Prevents them from accidentally clicking the right mouse button.
   • Disables some or all keys of the keyboard.
   • Let them learn and achieve goals without being distracted.
   • Not allow them to use other programs outside the BasicBrowser (with fixed url access)
2. The key / mouse blocking feature
   
   • It's simple and efficient, your kids can surf and play without getting distracted, (educational) games, music, stories,
   • colouring pictures, it makes it all a lot easier!
   • The only button that remains functional is your left mouse button.
   • Run the program, do your stuff and click on the icon in the systray to restore your (normal) mouse settings.
   • Particularly useful when Flash games are used.
   • Finally "Merge Mouse Buttons" is here,  all 3 mouse buttons (left - right and middle) act like a left mouse button.
   • It doesn't matter which button is pressed the computer will always think it's the left mouse button!
   • Restricted Mouse Click area' for instance is a function we had a lot of requests for.
   • Just blocking the right mouse button just wasn't enough, your little sunshine could still reach the start button and send your tax docs to the recycle bin
   • or he / she could start an unexpected journey on the WWW if you weren't watching!
   • Click 'Set Click Area' a transparent form pops up so you can see the underlying screen, drag a box to set the area in which you allow mouse clicks.
   • Block All Keys, just like it says disables your keyboard. Use it when your kids are watching a DVD or for instance in a store to prevent
   • customers from messing around with the computers displayed!
   • Exit password, ask for a password when users want to return to a normal mode / fully operational keyboard. if the password
   • entered is false the computer keeps running in restricted mode.
   • Blocks multimedia keys like browser, e-mail, etc.
   • Now you can use 3 shortcut keys which makes operating the program a lot easier, do you want to help a user, press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-E to temporary enable mouse and keyboard, press CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-D to disable them back again. CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-Q quits the program, which is especially handy if you restricted the click area and you're not able to click in the systray ;)
