Breast ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to map the internal structures of the breast. This means that the procedure will be able to detect some forms of breast abnormalities.
The breast ultrasound procedure takes about thirty minutes and it is painless. Doctors would recommend such procedure if there is suspicion of abnormalities around the breast area. The results will also be fast. It is very easy to get to the next stage of detection and treatment.
