Problem Solving for Kids 1.0

This article (PROBLEM SOLVING FOR KIDS) discusses some of the key steps in solving a real problem and presents an example that illustrates many of these steps. The example involves the path of an object flying through the air. Gravity is in effect, so the object will eventually fall to the ground. This object could be a softball being tossed, a hose squirting a stream of water, or an arrow flying through the air. Solving the problem requires knowledge of angles and reading graphs. The material should be readily grasped by Grades 4 and up.
The notes are presented in Microsoft Word format. To use the notes, download the zip file and extract the file to a desired directory. The resulting file can be opened and read in Word.
