Shop'NCook Pro combines a recipe organizer, a meal planner and a grocery list manager with costing functions working seamlessly together to facilitate your food service operation.

Smart recipe organizer and grocery list manager to facilitate your meal planning and costing. Recipes are easily added by typing them in, pasting them from the clipboard, or importing directly from the internet: no formatting is necessary.

The wizard interprets the recipes, links them to the large database of grocery items and yields the cost and the nutritional analysis automatically. The cost estimates are itemized by ingredient and corrected for waste. The cost database can be edited conveniently in the software or imported from a text file. You organize your recipes in cookbooks that you can share with the free ShopNCook Reader software.

A powerful scaling tool lets you scale the ingredients and the text of your recipes, make automatic ingredient substitutions and unit conversions. The ingredients of the recipes are converted to your preferred shopping units and added to a collating grocery list with a click. Contrary to most cooking software, grocery lists can also be created by directly selecting items of the database, adding from sub-lists or just typing in new items. Other features: recipes can link to other recipes; nutrition scripts to control the display of nutritional information and compute custom nutritional formulas; e-mail tool to send recipes and shopping lists.

At the heart of Shop'NCook Pro lies a database of more than 2000 grocery items with nutritional and unit information. It is powered by a parsing engine using an original technology able to recognize the ingedients with a great accuracy, understand hundreds of unit specification formats and interpret many culinary terms.

When a recipe is typed or pasted into the recipe wizard, the parsing engine recognizes the ingredient lines, links them with the database of grocery item, marks the comments that need to be added to the shopping list, interprets the units and computes the nutritional analysis - all in a completely automated way

Costing features:

1. Import/export of cost data: Cost data can be conveniently imported and exported in tab delimited files. They can also directly be edited in the software.
2. Recipe and menu costing: Estimate the cost of the recipes and menus effortlessly. Shop'NCook links automatically recipe ingredients to the cost data and yields an accurate cost estimate including yield. A color code allows you to see with a glance which ingredients are included in the cost estimate.
3. Grocery list budgeting: Estimate the cost of your grocery list.
