With StarChef Lights intuitive interface and storage capabilities recipe costing is a breeze, even for the least experienced computer users. StarChef is capable of storing thousands of ingredients, recipes and menus. All information is linked. For example, changing the cost or supplied quantity of an ingredient will impact on the cost of all recipes using the ingredient. In turn, any menus using the impacted dishes will also be affected.

StarChef provides extensive analytical tools and reports that will help determine the profitability of menus. StarChef supports the creation of both Standard (� la Carte) and Fixed Price (table dh�te) menus. Users with Microsoft Word 97 (or later) can export the content of a saved menu to presentation quality restaurant menu layouts.
