TakeItEasy allows you to create your own multi-language dictionaries as well as modify them later; define how and how often the words will be reminded; it can even pronounce the words for you in different languages and much, much more...

The TakeItEasy program provides facilities to create and modify user defined dictionaries. To create a dictionary just click on the menu File->Create New Dictionary...

You can create as many dictionaries as you wish, but you can deal only with one of them at the same time. After youve created a dictionary you do not need to care about saving it - it is done automatically.

TakeItEasy allows you to add and modify words, as well as define the associations between the different words. To do so you can either use the menu Dictionary->Add New... where youre allowed to specify the word, its transcription, the description and the set of its association with other words in the dictionary, or you can use the menu Dictionary->Quick add New... to add the new words in a quick mode, where youre defining the table of the "translation" relationships between the words from different languages. The current version of dictionaries supports five different kinds of associations: translation, example, synonym, antonym and other.

Together with created dictionaries you can use TakeItEasy as an electronic dictionary, although it is not what it is made for. You can search throughout the dictionary for the specific entry and show its word card.

In addition TakeItEasy supports import and export functionality. Currently you are able to import all words inside the open dictionary from another dictionary file in the TakeItEasy dictionary format and export your own dictionaries to XML format.
