Christina Applegate (born November 25, 1971) is an American Emmy Award-winning and Tony Award-nominated actress, particularly well-known for playing Kelly Bundy on the Fox television network sitcom Married... with Children. She has since established a film career, with major roles in several pictures, such as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and recently starred on Broadway in a revival of the musical Sweet Charity.Christina is the daughter of record producer Robert Applegate and singer-actress, Nancy Priddy. Her parents split up shortly after her birth. She has two step-siblings from her fathers re-marriage - Alisa (b. 1977) and Kyle (b. 1981). Alisa and Christina are best friends and even lived together while Alisa was going to college. Christinas mother took her along on all of her auditions and acting jobs. She made her acting debut at age five months, when her mother got her in a commercial for Playtex nursers. Her mother never remarried, but kept company with Stephen Stills. Christina still cherishes a guitar Stephen gave her when she was young. She played in a number of TV series before landing her breakout role in _ Married... with Children (1987)_ in 1987. Christina still studies jazz dance. Grew up near the site of the notorious 1981 Wonderland (or Four-on-the-Floor) murders involving John Holmes. She later played Susan Launius , the sole survivor of the murders, in the movie Wonderland (2003).
