Our proprietary grading system covers the following key components:

* Length of time in business and ease of identifying where the company is located and doing business.
* Time a business provides customer support, ease of contact through phone, email or live chat
* The Websites willingness to stand behind their products with a Service Guarantee
* Length of Membership to Business and Internet Associations including The Better Business Bureau.
* The sites use SSL (encrypted secure forms) for e-commerce and processing of transactions.
* The site is in PCI (a set of data security standards) compliance
* Whether or not the site engages in various suspicious activities through advertising, downloads or site representations.

Consumer Confidence plugs these factors into our proprietary algorithm to produce an overall Confidence Rating for retail websites. Consumers can use this rating to assist them in conducting business online with confidence!
