Shalom Txt 1.2

Shalom Txt represents a text editor, meant to help you edit flat text files with no formatting.
Ive tried to make a straightforward editor with all the standard functions including printing, print preview, popup menu, toolbar, find and replace, recent files list etc. And then added some extras (see below image).
I know there are a billion free text editors. So why this one? Well, Ive been working on the perfect editor for some years and one day I needed a break from another project and decided to put together a small editor with the basic architecture and some of the string manipulating tools Ive developed for my own use. The perfect editor will have to wait a bit longer.
Main features:
- Tools for manipulating strings
- Information about the current file (word count, character count, paragraph count, average word length etc)
- Multi document interface using tabs (much handier than windows)
- A symbol appears on the document tab if a file is modified
- Command line arguments (i.e., one or more file paths)
- Status bar showing Insert/Overwrite, cursor position, file size and number of selected characters
- Ability to save or close all opened files with one click
- Customization of font (size, color, style) and background color
- Choose what shortcut to exit the program with (Esc or Alt+X)
The Tools menu gives access to these string manipulating tools:
- Add To Each Line - Use this to add text to the start or the beginning of the selected lines.
- Fix Line Breaks - Changes all line breaks to standard window line breaks (for text from Unix environment).
- Frame Lines - Puts a frame (made with a character) around the selected lines.
- Remove Characters From Each Line - Use this to remove a certain number of characters from the start or the beginning of the selected lines.
- Remove Blank Lines - Removes empty lines.
- Remove From Each Line - Use this to remove text from the start or the beginning of the selected lines.
- Sort Lines - Sorts lines alphabetically.
- Trim Lines - Removes spaces from the start and end of each selected line.
- Unbreak Lines - Unbreaks lines, i.e., connects lines that arent followed by an empty line.
