XPontus 1.0.0 RC3

XPontus is a free java based XML editor designed towards text editing XPontus is a free java based XML editor created towards text editing. It aims to provide a free alternative to commercial XML Editors.
As XPontus is written in Java it is available for all java enabled operating systems. It has been reported to run correctly on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Solaris and FreeBSD. There are many installers for platform convenience.
Main features:
- XML Validation
You can choose whether or not to validate a single XML document or use the Batch Validation.
- Schema validation
You can validate DTDS, XML Schema, trex files, Relaxng schemas.
- Partial caching of dtds and schemas
When performing validation , the editor will put all the schemas/dtd in a cache
- Encoding detection
XPontus XML Editor will attempt to auto-detect the file encoding based on the file information(when the declared encoding of the XML document is not right).
- Syntax highlighting
Syntax highlighting is enabled for XML related files, HTML, Java, C, C++, SQL, Perl, Python, PHP, SQL and properties files.
- Multiple XSLT processors
Jd.xslt, Xalan, Saxon(6.5.5 and 8.7.1) are bundled to perform XSL transformations.
- XSL transformations
Various types of XSL transformations are avaibale(XML , PDF, HTML, XML, SVG, TXT, Postscript).
- Code indentation
You can clean and indent up bad HTML code. XML code indentation is also provided. Open remote files For now supported URL schemes are FTP and HTTP. Multiple installers There are many installers available for Windows, Linux or other platforms.
- Multiligual support
XPontus is available in English and French. A translation is planned for Dutch and Spanish. Most text editing functions You can perform usual text editing functions(open, save, print, copy, paste, replace, cut, search,etc.).
- Platform interoperability
As the software is written in Java, it is available on any Java enabled platforms. XPontus is known to run without any problems on Windows, Linux, MacOS, FreeBSD and Solaris.
