Task Coach Portable 0.74.1

Task Coach Portable 0.74.1 comes as the portable version of the famous tool Task Coach with which you can bring your to-do list and task manager with you so you always stay on top of things. You can place it on your USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive or a CD and use it on any computer, without leaving any personal information behind.

Task Coach is a simple open source to-do manager to manage personal tasks and to-do lists. It grew out of Frank's frustration that well-known task managers, such as those provided with Outlook or Lotus Notes, do not provide facilities for composite tasks. Often, tasks and other things to-do consist of several activities. Task Coach is designed to deal with composite tasks. 

 Major Features:

1. Creating, editing, and deleting tasks and subtasks.
2. Tasks have a subject, description, priority, start date, due date, a completion date and an optional reminder. Tasks can recur on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
3. Tasks can be viewed as a list or as a tree.
4. Tasks can be sorted by all task attributes, e.g. subject, budget, budget left, due date, etc.
5. Several filters to e.g. hide completed tasks or view only tasks that are due today.
6. Tasks can be created by dragging an e-mail message from Outlook or Thunderbird onto a task viewer.
7. Attachments can be added to tasks, notes, and categories by dragging and dropping files, e-mail messages from Outlook or Thunderbird, or URL's onto a task, note or category.
8. Task status depends on its subtask and vice versa. E.g. if you mark the last uncompleted subtask as completed, the parent task is automatically marked as completed too.
9. Tasks and notes can be assigned to user-defined categories.
10. Settings are persistent and saved automatically. The last opened file is loaded automatically when starting Task Coach.
11. Tracking time spent on tasks. Tasks can have a budget. Time spent can be viewed by individual effort period, by day, by week, and by month.
12. The Task Coach file format (.tsk) is XML.
13. Tasks, notes, effort, and categories can be exported to HTML and CSV (Comma separated format). Effort can be exported to iCalendar/ICS format as well.
14. Tasks, effort, notes, and categories can be printed. When printing, Task Coach prints the information that is visible in the current view, including any filters and sort order.
15. Task Coach can be run from a removable medium.
16. Tasks and notes can be synchronized via a Funambol server such as ScheduleWorld.

Enhancements:

1. Bugs fixed:
   • Printing didn't work.
   • Prevent exception when locking a file on a machine with a hostname containing non-ascii characters. 
   • Make the winPenPack portable app start in English by default.
   • Drag and drop from Thunderbird would not work if the storage directory wasn't the default.
   • Expand parent item when adding a sub item.

   • Drag and drop from Thunderbird now works with multiple accounts in the default profile.
