• There are a few important updates in the new version of 32bit FTP, released this month. If you need to log into an FTP site in passive mode, 32bit FTP can now do this. The option is in the [Connect to Remote Site] dialog box, where you type in the username and password. Another group of improvements are the options for various firewall settings. These options are also in the [Connect to Remote Site] dialog box.
• If you have tried 32bit FTP before and ran out of the standard demo time, you can have more time to try out the new 32bit FTP. So you will have more time to try out the new features.

• Fast ASCII transfer Option. Some FTP sites transfer ASCII files slower than they do binary files. If you use this option on these FTP sites, 32bit FTP will receive the ASCII file in binary mode and convert it to ASCII. This will allow you to receive ASCII files, from these FTP sites, up to 20 times faster. Also, if someone uploads an ASCII file (such as a txt or an html file) in binary mode to an FTP site and then download it in ASCII, the file will be damaged. When downloading this damaged file, if this option is checked, 32bit FTP will detect this and repair the file.
