Battle 1.0

Battle is a completely new way to approach spam. In case you didnt know, spam companies use engines,. Just as the search engines scan all web pages , spamers do the same thing to find e-mail addresses to spam. If they find a text string containing @ they will add it to their spam database hoping that it is a working e-mail address.

Battle has three ways of fooling the spam engines, the first way is to replace the @ and . in your e-mail address with [at] and [dot], to fool the engines. The second way is to replace @ and . with [at] and [dot] (just as above) and then encode the e-mail address (which means your address will be transformed to a completely unreadable mix of characters, which of course battle can decode). The third way is to encrypt your address. This works just as encoding, only that a password will be required to transform the characters into an e-mail address. This is a bit overkill, but if you are a bit paranoid this solution is water-proof.

The best thing is that when you install Battle, you will just have to click a Battled e-mail address and your e-mail client will be opened with the address unbattled! Battle is available for Windows, Linux and planned for Mac OS X.
