Chily Offline Folder Report 9.09.01

OST files or Offline Folders which are kept on user’s system are a duplicate copy of user’s Exchange Mailbox. Each and every OST file is linked with a particular Exchange mailbox which cannot be used with any other mailbox. Hence a user cannot use the same OST file with a new mailbox after migrating to another Exchange Server. Although, administrators maintain offline folder files at the time of migration by keeping the mailboxes of remote user at a different place.

 

In order to determine which mailbox possesses their offline data in particular OST files and which does not, administrator can make use of Chily Offline Folder Report utility. Chily Offline Folder Report utility examines the mailboxes of selected Domain and offers three lists: first the users using OST files to store their offline data, second the users not using OST files to store offline data and third of errors that occurred during the search process. These lists so produced can be saved in CSV format for future enterprise referrals. These CSV files are accessible with MS Excel.

 

In order to generate the Offline Folder report, administrator has to enter the name of host Exchange Server along with the logon credentials (verify them) and then click on Generate button. After this, the tool generates the list of users who are using OST files and who are not using OST files for their mailbox communications. In addition to this, the tool also showcases a list of errors that occurred while searching for OST and Non-OST users within the Domain.

Instructions:

• Launch the Chily Offline Folder Report software from Desktop
• Enter the name of host Exchange Server along with administrator credentials
• Verify the credentials by clicking on Verify button
• Click on Generate button to generate the report of OST users, Non-OST users and error list
