Cintel Orion Web Server is for you if you want to host your own Website but you can`t find an ISP that doesn`t bog you down with banner adverts or maximum file size limitations, or you`re working on your website and need to test it quickly, you need Cintel Orion.
Orion is Cintel`s first Web Server product and is part of the CENSE server package. Running your own web server has many benefits such as no space limitations, and the advantage that your files don`t have to be uploaded, as they`re shared directly from your hard drive.

Changes in Current Version:

- Better CodeRed protection: logged worm attempts should now no longer make it to the log file. Banning now checks the entire header for banned requests, not just requested resources.
- New DynDNS client! If you want your visitors to be able to access your site via a domain such as "http://mysite.dyndns.org" instead of a hard-to-remember IP address, sign-up for a FREE DynDNS account at www.dyndns.org and the Orion client will keep your domain IP address up to date.
- HTTP 408 code re-implemented for timed-out connections.
- HTTP Authentication is now much more secure. When a user is logged-in Orion doesnt authorise the IP, preventing access from the same IP (such as a proxy). It is recommended all users use HTTP Authentication by default.
- Changes to Header-handling ensure long HTTP headers are no longer lost.
- New Version information now appears in a window instead of a message box.
- Options window reorganised to better accommodate new features.
- When no sites are configured, a window will appear allowing you to create a new site or import one from file.
- With the imminent release of WebGate, Orion now features the closest level of integration yet, with all options such as remote console, HTTP Authentication now supported.
- Option to disable page logging added for a speed increase.
- All HTTP character codes now correctly convert to their Unicode equivalents.
- Replaced Password boxes with a Change Password button in the Edit User window.
- Notification of user logout in the log.
- Users now logged-out when server goes offline.
- URI-Validation adds an additional level of protection against as-yet undetected worm attacks. It can switched on in the Options > Advanced tab.
- Fixed error on sending zero-length files.
- Changes to 501/400 behaviour, to correctly report when an error occurred in the request, or at the server side.
- Check if user wants site address and redirect page uploaded.
- MD5 hash of user passwords now stored for greater security.
- Error Messages now stored in local variables instead of calling to registry each time, to improve response time.
- Improved Unlock Software wizard.
- Transition to the new RTF-format ReadMe file.
