Wireless data acquisition shareware manages RS232 devices without use of expensive routers such as Cisco 2511 Terminal Server. Ethernet serial device operates as a telnet server allowing user to connect directly to remote serial port RS232 using TCP/IP connection. Serial communications software allows multiple user access to serial port and is capable of restricting access to any serial port by password protecting connections. The operator only requires Internet, Intranet or TCP/IP based network connection and administrator rights on machine to fully control network serial devices. The user can access equipment connected to remote serial port using any telnet application including HyperTerminal and Tterm.
