Optimizing your deskspace for webcams can be difficult with a web browser, specially when you have no control over what those web pages look like. The websites might have too much clutter to make it useful to watch 10 security or weather cameras.
Having direct control over the refresh rate of your feeds can be very useful. No longer will you have to manually press Refresh on your web browser, nor will you have to wait for a websites 5 minute refresh. You can now have your feeds refresh and display changes as fast as the source is uploading (depending on the speed of your Internet connection).
