NetClock is an industry standards SNTP time server that will allow you to ensure that all your networked PCs have exactly the same, correct time. It provides both an SNTP server plus SNTP clients for any mumber of Windows based Pcs.
NetClock will connect automatically to any specified Atomic clocks on the Internet (if you have internet access) and therefore set your entire networks time and date correctly, or it can be used to simply maintain the same time and date across all the machines on your entire network.
NetClock can also provide the correct time to MACs and unix machines providing they have standard SNTP clients on their systems.
If installed on an NT based system such as NT4, W2K and XP, NetClock will of course be installed as a Service, but runs as a system tray application under W95/98/ME
Features:
- NetClock may be installed as a totally stand alone system on any PC
network, or
- The NetClock server can be installed on any PC that has any form of permanent connection, or dial-up connection to the Internet.
- The NetClock server and Clients run as a service on any NT based PC (W2K, NT4, XP)
- The NetClock client needs to be installed and configured correctly on all of the PCs on your network, including the designated "server PC"
- You then configure the Time Client module on the "Time Server" PC to connect to the atomic clock of your choice, and finally set up the Time Client on each PC on your network, typically so it is run when the PC is restarted via a shortcut in the Startup folder.
- All of these Time Clients will be configured to obtain the correct date and time from the Time Serve" PC on which the SNTP server is running.
